Our Mission

Our mission is to award a yearly scholarship to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is enrolled in a Utah college or university in the mental health field of study, which will promote suicide prevention, awareness, and education and to advance access to mental health services for all individuals.  We advocate for saving lives, preventing self-harm, promoting mental health well-being for healing and recovery in people and communities.

Our Vision

JT’s Voices values compassion, empowerment, inclusiveness, and community support to promote and to provide suicide education, awareness, and prevention and access to mental health services for all individuals.

Our Story

Our story lies within the loving memories of James Thomas Neal lovingly called JT.  JT was bright, humorous, witty, charming, and loyal to his family and friends.  James also loved playing video games and sports.  JT also had a passion for running track, which he excelled in during his junior and high school years and was awarded a DI track scholarship to Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. In loving memory of James, we founded the JT’s Voices Foundation to create a scholarship fund and to advocate for suicide prevention, awareness, and education and to promote mental health services for all.  James’ memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
