our mission

our mission

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in memory of James Thomas "JT" Neal. Our primary mission is to jump over all hurdles to "SAVE LIVES," and also to advocate for suicide prevention, raise mental health awareness, and promote education around these critical issues. We work to engage and empower college students who are passionate about advancing mental health access and saving lives. To support this mission, we award an annual scholarship to a student enrolled in the social work program at Weber State University’s College of Social & Behavioral Sciences in Ogden, Utah. Scholarship recipients actively contribute to our mission by serving as advocates for suicide prevention and mental wellness in their communities.

our values

We value education, compassion, empowerment, inclusiveness, and community support to promote and to provide suicide education, awareness, and prevention and access to mental health services for all individuals.

our story

Our story lies within the long jump landing of the loving memories of James Thomas Neal, lovingly called JT. JT was bright, humorous, witty, charming, and loyal to his family and friends. James also loved playing video games and all sports. JT had a passion for running track, which he excelled in during his junior and high school years and was awarded a Division I track scholarship to Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. In loving memory of James, we founded the JT’s Voices Foundation to create a scholarship fund and to advocate for suicide prevention, awareness, and education and to promote mental health services for all. James’ memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
